Esta madrugada aqueceu com uma das mais esperadas noites do ano para os jogadores! Era 0:30 quando começou o já tradicional pre-show, apresentado por Sydnee Goodman que durante meia hora conduziu a entrega dos primeiros prémios da noite, bem como primeiras apresentações World Premiere. Já perto da 01h00, tivemos o arranque oficial da grande gala de prémios The Game Awards, apresentada como sempre por Geoff Keighley. O evento decorreu no Microsoft Theatre com milhares de olhos postos nas transmissões em praticamente todas as plataformas online, sendo que neste ano a grande novidade foi a Steam com o seu passatempo onde a cada minuto esteve a sortear uma novíssima Steam Deck para quem acompanhasse o evento partir da transmissão do seu site.
